ALIKE AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK PROGRAM HAS TRANSITION FROM ONLINE TO IN-PERSON

The Association of Liberian Immigrants in Kitchener Environs After School Program has transition from online to in-person. The program is run at the Chandler Mowat community centre in Kitchener. Registration is ongoing. Our youth Coordinator works with students living in affordable housing to put them on pathways to access higher education through mentoring and tutoring for academic success. This includes helping them complete their assignments and homework, and teaching them the necessary skills to develop positive self-esteem, resilience and problem-solving skills as they engage with the education system.
